Google highly anticipated Pixel Fold is set to make its debut this year, with rumors of its release having circulated for quite some time. With the latest renders and specs that have been released, the phone is set to impress with its innovative design features.

According to FrontPageTech, the Pixel Fold’s outer screen is much wider than that of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, making it more similar to a “normal” phone’s aspect ratio. The Pixel Fold also has a larger screen that is set to a horizontal landscape orientation when unfolded. This setup is quite different from that of the Z Fold 4 and is more like the Oppo Find N and Oppo Find N2 in terms of its form factor. Google Pixel Fold will be available for $1,799.

Leaker OnLeaks claims that the Pixel Fold will have a 5.79-inch front display and a 7.69-inch inner display, with dimensions of 6.2 by 5.5 by 0.22 inches when unfolded and a width of 3.14 inches when folded. Dave2D’s dummy model has bezels measuring 5.5-6mm on the top and bottom of the opened screen, which is thicker than the bezels on another current premium foldable. However, the phone’s width allows it to make up for the lost space on the sides.

In terms of design, the Pixel Fold is expected to be “really heavy” and made of glass and metal to give it a premium feel. It also features speaker grilles on the top and bottom frames, a power button that doubles as an in-screen fingerprint sensor, and a camera island on the back that can house three different lenses.

Google’s Tensor G2 chipset is expected to power the Pixel Fold, and it may have 12GB of RAM and at least 128GB of storage. Display analyst Ross Young reported that the phone will have a 5.8-inch cover screen and a 7.57-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate on the inside. According to 9to5Google also suggest that the Pixel Fold will have a battery capacity higher than that of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Oppo Find N2, which is exciting news for foldable enthusiasts.

Z Fold 4 and Google foldable will have similar sized foldable displays, but the Google cover display will be quite a bit smaller at 5.8". This should mean it will have a wider aspect ratio than the Samsung 6.19" Fold 4. Hear more at our conference next week.

While there are still a few unknowns about the Pixel Fold, all indications are that it will be a standout device in 2023. With its unique design and powerful features, it is sure to attract a lot of attention when it finally hits the release button.
